Senior DevOps Architect- Americas

What will you do?

  • Work closely within the PaaS development and operations team. Your key field of expertise will be in the technical consulting of Magnolia partners and customers, while maintaining critical of regional PaaS platform deployments.

  • You will monitor service and infrastructure performance and ensure its smooth operation.

  • You will leverage your experience and knowledge of complex customer-facing systems to improve and automate existing tools, processes and infrastructure.

  • Take care of the customer onboarding to the PaaS infrastructure and assist the customers in case of questions and troubleshooting.

  • Take part in an on-call work environment and assist customers in case of emergencies.

  • Provide expert know-how on development, integration and Magnolia deployment and system architecture, including backup strategies, load balancing, failover, security, multisite and general hosting configuration.

  • Present effective outcomes from both technical and business engagements through effective written or visual aids.

  • Share your expertise around cloud topics and provide consulting and workshops on topics like K8S, cluster orchestration, containerization, CI/CD tooling and practices, scaling strategies and continuous deployment pipeline.

What do you bring in?

  • Minimum 5 years experience with Kubernetes, Helm Charts, containerization and continuous delivery pipelines

  • Essential experience with the usual operating systems, application servers and databases, especially Linux/Unix and PostgreSQL DB

  • Experience with the usual web technology stack, web server, and databases

  • Experience in the cloud-based web services and in programming with JAVA in conjunction with Maven and Tomcat

  • Experience with Go is an advantage

  • Experience with Magnolia DXP or another CMS/DXP System using Apache JCR is considered an big advantage

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • A collaborative can-do attitude and a relentless focus on automation and customer empowerment (self-services)

  • Ability to present: very technical issues must be transmitted on an understandable level
