February 2021, London, UK — Leading content management system provider, Magnolia today announced that the company was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its evaluation, The Forrester Wave™: Agile Content Management Systems (CMSes), Q1 2021. In this evaluation, Magnolia was cited as a Contender in Agile Content Management Systems.

The Forrester Wave is an assessment of the top vendors in the market by independent research company, Forrester. Its evaluation highlights Leaders, Strong Performers, Contenders and Challengers.

The report recognizes Magnolia as “a good fit for companies in financial services, hospitality and media that are looking to assemble their DX stack and incorporate an open, proven CMS.” According to the Forrester report, "Magnolia offers strong capabilities in workflow and approvals as well as experience management.”

Commenting on the recognition, Rasmus Skjoldan, CMO at Magnolia said, "Customers have become very advanced now in orchestrating content across digital experiences. The 2021 Forrester Agile CMS Wave clearly shows to us how the world has truly moved beyond web-focused content management. At Magnolia, we want to push this new world of multi-experiences further. Enterprises that are serious about agility in DX will need improved capabilities to allow them to see all their content (wherever it lives), understand how it performs, and then iterate fast.”

Christopher Zimmerman, Product Manager at Magnolia added, “Today’s brands have learned that success in adapting to the market depends greatly on speed. I love hearing from our customers how quickly they were able to roll-out projects, as well as hearing our partners' surprise at how much they can customize with zero code.

“It’s clear that our light development approach has really paid off. By streamlining based on today’s frontend development techniques, developers using Magnolia’s CMS can now hit the ground running. But it’s not just headless frontends — crafting the ideal content authoring UI is also central to project agility, so we have also optimized these tasks for developers.

“We believe this new Wave report marks the beginning of a new breed of more agile CMSs. It combines what customers really need today — agility, headless, multichannel content — as well as a new level of developer support, all combined to achieve the speed of DX they desire.”
