The basics

关于客户

Since 1958, Nolte Küchen has stood for quality, design, and accountability in manufacturing customizable kitchen solutions. At its German production sites, the company builds around 1.7 million units every year and exports 36% of them to over 60 countries.

The Challenge

Legacy monolithic system blocks global brand growth and operational agility

Before launching the new platform, Nolte Küchen faced a fractured digital ecosystem. The existing website relied on a rigid Sitecore monolith that created clear administrative and financial bottlenecks. Navigation was confusing, mobile usability was poor, and the platform focused too heavily on static product listings rather than engaging user inspiration.

Managing content across multiple languages—including German, English, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, and Polish—required manual, time-consuming translation and approval steps. Marketing teams also had to rely on separate external tools like WordPress to spin up simple campaign microsites, separating the brand experience. The brand needed a flexible way to balance two vastly different user journeys: inspiring residential buyers online while directing them smoothly to authorized B2B retail dealers where actual sales take place.

The Solution

Moving to a composable headless platform unifies the global digital footprint

To remove these technical limits, synaigy (formerly interactive tools) migrated Nolte Küchen’s entire infrastructure from Sitecore to a flexible, headless architecture powered by Magnolia DXP. They followed an agile Scrum framework split into three strategic phases: initial consolidation and blueprint planning, constructing an operational Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and rolling out deep third-party integrations.

Unifying web properties and streamlining international operations

By utilizing Magnolia's multi-tenant capabilities, formerly separate brand domains—such as nolte-kuechen.com and express-kuechen.de— were combined into one central, easily manageable dashboard. The new visual frontend uses modern technologies like Next.js and Tailwind CSS to supply lightning-fast page loads and mobile-optimized interfaces. New, automated workflows completely transformed day-to-day operations, allowing internal teams to create, translate, and launch content significantly faster while maintaining consistent brand standards across seven international language markets.

Bridging the gap between B2C inspiration and structured B2B retail sales

The platform bridges the gap between end consumers and business clients on a single system. Consumer users enjoy a highly visual, immersive browsing experience filled with layout ideas that extend beyond traditional kitchens into living spaces and bathrooms. At the same time, business partners receive quick, structured access to technical product information, marketing assets, and planning data via a dedicated, role-based portal.

Driving conversions through "My Nolte" lead generation and smart automation

To engage end-customers while supporting the brand's direct-to-dealer business model, a personalized customer hub called "My Nolte" was built. This section integrates an interactive 3D kitchen planner, allowing buyers to curate style moodboards, organize design ideas, and save custom room layouts from home. Once these concepts are saved, the platform links the data directly to local retail partners, generating high-intent, structured sales leads for the dealer network.

To maximize operational velocity behind the scenes, the ecosystem integrates an AI-powered plugin to automatically generate asset metadata, running alongside deep integrations for Inxmail marketing, Azure AD user identity, and legacy Notes/Domino formulary databases.

"With the new Magnolia DXP, we can manage our content faster and more efficiently. The workflows are leaner, the system is more flexible – and we finally have a solution that grows with our requirements."

The Result

Streamlined publishing workflows speed up deployment and turn consumer inspiration into measurable conversions

The launch of the new platform has given Nolte Küchen an agile, future-ready foundation that supports sustainable digital growth. Instead of dealing with fragmented individual sites, internal teams now manage multiple regional storefronts and campaign microsites out of one scalable environment.

Most importantly, the unified user experience makes it easy for consumers to move from initial inspiration to a concrete dealer inquiry, delivering positive results on customer conversions through a clear, intuitive, and highly measurable lead funnel. Dealers now benefit from higher quality, structured lead data directly from the online 3D planner, making local sales consultations far more efficient.

Expanding Digital Ecosystem with E-Commerce and Personalization

With nolte-store.com, Nolte Küchen is consistently expanding its digital ecosystem towards e-commerce. Based on Shopify, an online store is being created where end customers can directly purchase accessories and appliances that match their Nolte kitchen – from the new Nolte private label to a marketplace assortment with selected partners.

In parallel, a personalization and recommendation logic is firmly embedded in the roadmap. The goal: in future, recommendations will be delivered across the entire digital journey – from the Magnolia inspiration platform, through MyNolte, all the way into the shopping cart. Instead of generic suggestions, users will receive accessories, spare parts, and complementary products that truly fit their specific kitchen situation. This functionality will be gradually integrated into the existing Magnolia/Shopify setup, further strengthening the interaction between brand platform and store.

"The new platform offers exactly the flexibility we need. It can be seamlessly integrated into our existing system landscape while remaining open for future extensions – a real game changer for our digital growth."
