Basel, 16.03.2023 - Magnolia, a leading composable Digital Experience Platform, has announced it has been recognized as a Visionary in the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs). Magnolia has been recognized for the third year in a row and for the second time as a Visionary.

For enterprise customers, we believe this means a validation of Magnolia’s composable product strategy and its commitment to continuously invest in enhancing the value of its product, market footprint, and the success of its customers.

Recognized as a Visionary

Magnolia is delivering a digital experience platform that works with each enterprise’s unique digital delivery needs. With a business-ready architecture that future-proof, enterprise customers get the flexibility to choose a custom digital experience stack tailored to their business processes and needs—not the other way around.

As a cloud-native platform, it accelerates the development of digital experience applications with ready-made blueprints, extensions, and integrations designed to accelerate time to value for each business’ custom use cases. As a modern, extensive, standards-based platform, Magnolia is built to complement, not replace, existing investments.

While composability has become a major trend in digital experience technology over the last year, Magnolia has championed this approach since 2014. And while composability is the way to a future-proof architecture, it can come with pitfalls.

Marketers are often left behind due to poorly integrated tools that lead to a poor editorial experience, frequent context switching, a steep learning curve, and dependency on long development cycles.

Magnolia’s unique integration patterns make composable digital experience production easy for marketers and other editors, with a single unified view of all content and data to create dynamic experiences across channels. The Magnolia UI surfaces data from connected systems—products from ecommerce systems, forms from marketing automation, analytics data, or even content from other content management systems—and gives marketers powerful tools to mix and match them and compose experiences for the right audience at the right time.

As we’ve continued to grow, we’re seeing more and more enterprises turn to Gartner as a trusted resource to help navigate the DXP technical landscape, and Magnolia is proud to be recognized as a Visionary again in this year’s Magic Quadrant for DXPs. We believe that our efforts to simplify and accelerate digital initiatives have helped us in getting acknowledged in the report by Gartner,” said Magnolia CEO Tim Brown.

Validated by real users

In recent reviews on Gartner Peer Insightsᵀᴹ, Magnolia users have praised the key strengths of Magnolia's composable DXP:

Magnolia is a very feature-rich DXP that can be used both as a headless CMS and including delivery of websites.” - Head of Online Editorial Office and CMS in the Transportation Industry.

It is both user friendly as well as developer friendly. It has good set of templates and APIs and is easy to integrate." - IT Specialist in the Manufacturing Industry.

Makes it easier for our development team to combine their knowledge with advanced AI functionality. The content management portion is something which helps us more in documentation. Great service and adorable UI." - Supply Chain Manager in the Retail Industry.

Business-ready architecture. Magnolia recognized as a Visionary.

We feel, being recognized by Gartner in the DXP Magic Quadrant builds on a successful year of growth for Magnolia. The company added over 50 new enterprise customers in 2022, driving 25% year-on-year growth in bookings.

Digital architecture decisions can intimidate a lot of buyers despite well-known benefits around flexibility and performance. We feel, our recognition as a Visionary in the DXP Magic Quadrant shows Magnolia can help deliver digital experiences in context of real enterprise use cases, regardless of the current tech stack those businesses depend on for day-to-day business,” adds Magnolia CMO Anthony Poliseno.
