Design System Designer , Magnolia DXP

Brano Sandala is a Design System Designer at Magnolia DXP, specializing in bridging the gap between design vision and front-end engineering. With over 15 years of industry experience spanning product design, design system architecture, and UX research, he creates unified design languages, design tokens, and reusable components that scale enterprise digital experiences seamlessly across global teams.

Brano's career spans key product leadership, research, and design roles in the technology sector. At Magnolia DXP, he builds the next-generation design system that aligns user interface components with production code, establishing a single, consistent language across product interfaces. Prior to his current work, Brano served as a Product Designer and Researcher at strategic design firm Stride XL, leading discovery research and interaction experiments for new-to-market products. During a six-year tenure at Kentico Software, he advanced from UX Designer to Senior Product Manager, directing solution areas for Kentico Cloud, executing global customer research across the US, UK, and Australia, and launching cloud-based content production tools. 

Beyond enterprise platform delivery, Brano is deeply committed to design education and community mentorship. For eight years, he served as a Mentor and Lecturer at UXWell—the first UX educational institution in the Czech Republic—teaching design thinking principles, customer research, and interaction design. He has also shared technical insights as a speaker at international conferences, including ProductCamp Berlin, Kentico Connection in Sydney, and Product Feedback by productboard in Prague. Additionally, he co-founded tota agentura to support and showcase Rusyn cultural heritage through graphic design, media, and digital publishing.

Brano holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Service Science, Management and Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Applied Informatics from the Masaryk University Faculty of Informatics.
