Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the DX Cloud Alerts application for Microsoft Teams ("the App"), provided by Magnolia International Ltd. ("Magnolia", "we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of the App
DX Cloud Alerts is a notification-only bot that delivers automated alerts from the Magnolia DX Cloud platform to Microsoft Teams channels. The App does not read, modify, or delete any content in your Teams environment.
2. Eligibility and Authorization
The App is available exclusively to organizations with an active Magnolia DX Cloud subscription. By installing the App, you represent that:
- You have an active Magnolia DX Cloud subscription.
- You are authorized by your organization to install applications in your Microsoft Teams environment.
- You have obtained the necessary administrative consent within your Microsoft Entra ID tenant.
3. Permitted Use
The App is provided solely for the purpose of receiving alert notifications from your Magnolia DX Cloud environment. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Use the App for any purpose other than receiving Magnolia DX Cloud notifications.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or the underlying infrastructure.
- Resell, sublicense, or distribute access to the App independently of a Magnolia DX Cloud subscription.
4. Installation and Configuration
Setting up the App involves the following steps:
a) App Authorization. A Microsoft Entra ID administrator in your organization must complete the OAuth consent flow to authorize the Magnolia DX Cloud Alerts application in your tenant.
b) Teams Connection. After authorization, a user in your organization must add the App to one or more teams within Microsoft Teams. This establishes the connection between your Teams environment and the Magnolia DX Cloud platform.
c) Channel Configuration. Through the Magnolia DX Cloud Cockpit, you configure one or more notification channels of type "Teams", selecting the teams and channels where alerts should be delivered.
d) Alert Rules. You create or modify alert rules in the Magnolia DX Cloud Cockpit, assigning the configured Teams channels to receive specific alerts.
You are responsible for ensuring that the appropriate administrator grants consent, that the App is connected to the correct teams, and that alert rules and notification channels are configured according to your organization's needs.
5. Availability and Support
We aim to provide reliable delivery of notifications through the App, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The App depends on third-party services, including Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft Bot Framework, which are outside our control.
Support for the App is provided as part of your Magnolia DX Cloud subscription. For support inquiries, please contact your Magnolia account representative or use the standard Magnolia support channels.
6. Data and Privacy
Our collection and use of data in connection with the App is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described therein.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its code, design, and documentation, is the property of Magnolia International Ltd. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your use of the App does not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- Magnolia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App.
- Magnolia's total liability for any claims related to the App shall not exceed the fees paid by you for your Magnolia DX Cloud subscription during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
- Magnolia is not responsible for any failures, delays, or errors caused by Microsoft Teams, the Microsoft Bot Framework, or any other third-party service.
9. Termination
Your right to use the App terminates automatically when:
- Your Magnolia DX Cloud subscription expires or is terminated.
- You uninstall the App from your Microsoft Teams environment.
- You disable the Teams notification feature in your Magnolia DX Cloud configuration.
Magnolia may also suspend or terminate access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms, with or without notice.
Upon termination, all Teams integration data associated with your account will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify existing customers of material changes through the Magnolia DX Cloud platform or by email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Basel, Switzerland.
