Tradeprint has unveiled a top-of-the-range, print-buying website, built using best-in-class technology from commercetools and Magnolia, that makes ordering much faster and easier than before.
Tradeprint adopted an API-first approach, and its new website is integrated directly with Cimpress’ mass customization platform. As part of the Cimpress group, this connects Tradeprint to the manufacturing plants of the entire group, allowing it to offer its print, marketing and creative professional customers a much wider range of products.
On the front-end, customers can enjoy an unrivalled user experience that makes print-buying easy, fast and hassle-free. Tradeprint incorporated a simplified navigation so that customers can quickly find their product. It also stripped back its product configurator to make it clearer and faster to select product options. The result is a website where returning customers can enter the website, choose their products and checkout in less than a minute.
The website was built in conjunction with leading e-commerce specialist commercetools and enterprise CMS provider Magnolia, chosen as they offer the best opportunity for Tradeprint to grow, both in terms of product range and order volume.
commercetools provides a cloud-based e-commerce platform. Its API approach allowed Tradeprint to create a fully customized and unique commerce experience. The technology is scalable, to allow Tradeprint to grow its product range and order volume, and it integrates seamlessly into Tradeprint's existing technology and structure.
Magnolia’s product architecture fits perfectly with Tradeprint’s API-first approach. Coupled with the content management system’s personalization capabilities, Magnolia allows Tradeprint to work towards creating contextually-relevant shopping experiences for its customers.
“Tradeprint is the home of trade printing," said Simon Cooper, managing director of Tradeprint. "We worked with our customers to design this new website, and this customer-centric approach puts their needs at the heart of everything we do. The website is just the beginning of our digital transformation. Projects coming to fruition soon include closed portals and print API connections, keeping us at the forefront of print technology."
