Magnolia International is seeking a Website Developer. This is a Basel-based, in-house role that continuously improves the websites we have and develops the new websites we need. If you are interested in building the best technology for successful communications operations, read on.

We are building a new team that is in the intersection of community building and communications. We need you to develop our existing websites and build new sites. You are a developer with front-end experience and a strong interest in community building and supporting marketing and communication efforts.

In this role you provide the technology we need to communicate with out network of partners and clients. We want to lead by example. Our own websites should stand as examples of what can be achieved with Magnolia CMS, showcasing its features and capability. You will continuously improve our corporate website which is our primary communication channel to the public. You collect requirements on site features and improvements help content authors succeed in their tasks. You will lead the development of a completely new community site and improve our documentation site. The features you build may become permanent part of Magnolia core or the Standard Templating Kit. This way you have the opportunity to shape the future of the product.

Java knowledge is required. Beyond that you should have a passion for communications, social media and SEO. You are eager to learn and you take pride in your work. What you deliver is tested, documented and is shipped on time. You will work directly with the CTO to drive Magnolia's success from a marketing technology perspective.

Responsibilities

• Develop new community, partner and client websites.
• Improve existing corporate and documentation websites.
• Work with content authors in Marketing and Communications team to make their requests possible.
• Gather requirements, adapt the sites, build new features, roll out regular improvements.
• Work with a creative designer to implement consistent look across sites.

What we are looking for

• Experience with Web UI development
• Strong knowhow of Web technologies
• Ability to speak English fluently
• Release management experience

Location

Place of work is Basel, Switzerland. Our job openings are full-time employment opportunities. We do not cover relocation costs.
