It makes complex tasks intuitive and delights the user. The next generation of the product, Magnolia 5, will feature a completely rewritten UI designed for touch. You will work on the Magnolia CMS core product, building modules and implementing the new user interface. You have significant experience with Web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery as well as Java. You have built Web applications professionally and know the best practices.

Magnolia 5 is strongly influenced by touch and will work fully on mobile devices. Any experience you have with GWT, Vaadin or other frameworks such as EXT/JS is a bonus. Experience developing mobile sites is an advantage as our clients build them routinely.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Magnolia CMS core development team
• Build new modules and core functionality
• Implement a new user interface
• Use Agile development methods, e.g. the SCRUM methodology
• Use state-of-the-art development tools like Jira, SVN/Git, Maven 2, Hudson etc.
• Get exposure to the Java and open source communities
• Work in an international environment

What we are looking for

• Experience with Web application development and UI development
• Strong knowhow of Web technologies
• Ability to speak English fluently (German a plus)
• Experience as a consultant a plus
• Experience developing mobile sites an advantage

Location

Place of work is Basel, Switzerland. Our job openings are full-time employment opportunities. We do not cover relocation costs.
