FAQs

Who is Gartner?

Gartner, Inc. delivers actionable, objective insight to executives and their teams.

What is a Magic Quadrant?

According to Gartner, “A Magic Quadrant provides a graphical competitive positioning of four types of technology providers, in markets where growth is high, and provider differentiation is distinct.”

Every year, Gartner publishes its Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs), a report assessing the key DXPs on the market.

What is a DXP?

According to Gartner, “A digital experience platform (DXP) is a well-integrated set of technologies designed to enable the composition, management, delivery, and optimization of contextualized digital experiences across multi-experience customer journeys.

A DXP can provide optimal digital experiences to a variety of constituents, including consumers, partners, employees, citizens, and students, and help ensure continuity across the full customer lifetime journey. It provides the presentation orchestration that binds together capabilities from multiple applications to form seamless digital experiences.

A DXP forms part of a digital business ecosystem via API-based integrations with adjacent technologies. DXPs are applicable to business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-business (B2B), and business-to-employee (B2E) use cases.”

A DXP empowers business users and development teams to optimize the customer experience across various touchpoints. With a unified platform, you can efficiently manage and deliver digital content through websites, mobile apps, and other channels, creating engaging omnichannel experiences for your target audience.

What does composability mean?

A composable DXP works as the backbone of your digital content. You can tailor it around your existing processes and infrastructures. APIs and DXP integrations become your building blocks, so you can deliver a digital experience as quickly as your audience needs it.

Composability in DXP means combining your entire marketing stack, including content management, marketing automation, e-commerce, personalization, and analytics. Rather than having to think of all of these tools as separate entities, they can be viewed as a group of DXP partners. This single access point makes it easy to connect with your customers in a smarter way.

By leveraging a composable DXP, your business can establish a solid foundation for digital content delivery. This approach allows you to tailor the DXP around your existing processes and infrastructures.
